両国観光まちづくり グランドデザイン

GK設計では、“粋に暮らし、粋に愉しむ両国”をコンセプトに、平成25年度より墨田区両国地域の観光まちづくりに取り組んでいる。
平成25年7月に「両国観光まちづくりグランドデザイン」、翌26年３月に「両国観光まちづくりグランドデザインの実現に向けた計画」が策定され、翌年度より地域の方々とのワークショップ等の取り組みが展開されている。
一般的に、観光振興等のソフト施策と街並み修景整備等のハード施策は、専門も所轄も異なるため各々独立して事業化される。
本プロジェクトは、ソフト施策とハード施策を連携させながら、効果的に地域の魅力を発信することを試みる先導的な取り組みと言える。観光まちづくりの取り組みを通して、隅田川や地域に張り巡らされていた内部河川の記憶、下町情緒あふれる粋な文化や暮らしぶり、心意気を継承するきっかけをつくっていきたい。
We have been trying to realize a tourist oriented urban systems. The plan
took the concept “Ryogoku to live and enjoy stylish life together with daily life and prosperity.”
In 2013, Grand Design to Produce Ryogoku Urban Tourist Systems was settled, also in 2014, the implementation plan of the Grand Design was settled. So GK Sekkei has been active since then in developing systems to which people in the district can join workshops and many other events. To date, the promotional events with people joined have taken place; a boat cruise by utilizing the Sumida River and canals, strolling in town, discussion about producing the streetscape in the area, etc.
In general, soft measures, like a promotion of tourism, and hard measures, like the maintenance of the landscape, are separately implemented because of the difference in the professions. The project can be called as a principal work trying to appeal the charm of the district. The try could effectively promote the area centered activities while coordinating the soft and hard sources.
