晴海通り  シンボルロード

晴海通りは江戸東京の中心である皇居から臨海副都心へと続く歴史と未来の軸である。その中でも近代都市東京の象徴である銀座地区では、東京都シンボルロード整備事業の第一号として都市の顔となる質の高い整備が行われた。 シンプルな御影石舗装と連続的に立ち上がる御影石の横断防止柵、角柱とアルミ鋳物ジョイントによる縦格子を連想させるシンボリックな照明灯、アルミ押し出し材による道路標識など、通りを一体的に捉えたストリート・ファニチュアのトータルデザインにより、空間のひろがりとまとまり、風格を感じさせるフォーマルな街路景観を創り出すことができた。

Harumi Avenue is an axis of history to the future, connecting imperial palace, the center of Edo and Tokyo, to Tokyo Water Front City. Among the spots along the avenue, an environmental quality maintenance took place in Ginza district as the first operation for the symbol road of the City of Tokyo.

The expansion and unity of the space along the axis could create the scene with formal sense and the style of its own; the entire design of street furniture takes the road as a consolidated whole. Many kinds of street furniture make it possible such as; simple pavement and jaywalk prevention set up in granite, the symbolic street light with a vertical lattice-like aluminum post and cast aluminum joint.
