The world of design expands beyond the boundary of product design

Product designers’ daily work consists of drawing sketches, making models, and finalizing those outputs in the form of data to make presentations for their clients. But what I think is really important is their unwavering passions for creating new values. Driven by those emotions, they try to figure out ideas on how to provide enjoyable and attractive lifestyles for product users and put them into concrete forms.

Our company GK Dynamics mostly works on the design for motorcycles and other personal vehicles. In recent years, we are also involved in visualizing the ambience of those products as well as providing designs for after-sale promotion. What’s more, we are trying to expand our activities into various design fields even though they aren’t directly related to motorcycles. By doing so, we aim to make the world of motorcycle known to a wider range of generations and users so they can capture the joy of riding motorcycles.

Let me introduce one example. It’s composed of nine illustrations on the theme of “Grip the Ground,” each of them aiming to visualize the world of motorcycle. In these works, we introduce GK’s original angles and touches to highlight some aspects of wonderful lifestyles people can enjoy with motorcycles. If you take a close look at them, you can understand the message we want to convey. It allows you to immerse yourself in your own world of motorcycle or share the fun of motorcycle riding with your family and friends. GK’s original style proves its worth in giving artistic expressions to the word of motorcycle, thus arousing people’s interest in motorcycles even if they aren’t familiar with them. I believe our extensive efforts constitute an important portion of creative designing.
