What comes to my mind at the turn of the season

Recently, as I continued my half-remote work style, I took the opportunity to move to a new place.

When I was trying to plug in home appliances for immediate use while sorting out stuffs in cardboard containers, I hit upon the idea that I need to be careful not to kick out the extension cord. Then I made a tentative decision to lay it along the floor’s uneven surface nearby. Since I felt a strange feeling, I took a close look at it and found that what appeared to be an uneven surface was not actually a thing like that. Once again, I watched it from where I was before and confirmed it appeared like an uneven surface. I wondered if my eyes were playing trick on me. What I was seeing was not all I could see. Perhaps I only presumed I was able to see it. Why did it appear like this? How did my vision change? Was it twisted? Should I touch it to confirm? … Thoughts meandered like this. In hindsight, I realized it was interesting and even refreshing to find a trompe l’œil in my daily life.

I left the place long accustomed to my family to start a new life in different circumstances. As it turns out, I have had various new findings, which makes me feel we are going to live an enjoyable life. Meanwhile, the environments surrounding designers are drastically changing. That may be likened to moving to a new place. As for my family, cleanup after the moving is not easy to complete. We still have a lot more work to do before sorting out stuffs in the cardboard boxes.
