石州瓦葺の屋根と土壁調の外壁をもつこの地方伝統的な民家をモチーフとした建物。
温泉施設「霧の湯」と農林漁業体験施設「香遊館」の2棟で構成される。

The architectural motif is the traditional dwelling of this area,
a structure of earthen exterior walls supporting a roof of Sekisui tiles.
It houses two facilities: the Kirinoyu hot springs bathhouse and the Koyukan, a lodging house for
persons who come to Iwami for a hands-on experience in farming, forestry, or fishing.
