A rooftop Parasol Garden.
When the New Building of the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo was built, GK Tech proposed to make the roof to be a “Parasol Garden”.
The 12 parasols, 3 to 3.7 meters high and 3-meters in diameter, open and close automatically as visitors approach and leave with the work of an infrared sensor inside.
In order to ensure safety, it is structured to move the central axis up and down, and consideration is given to preventing users from touching the mechanism.
