Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games applicant city file

セクションタイトル

In the bid for hosting the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games, we were responsible for the editorial design of the Applicant City File submitted to the IOC in February 2012.
The File presents actual project plans in response to questions from the IOC, from the vision, concept and legacy to finance and marketing, a total of 11 items. The design concept was “SAKURA (cherry) wreath” – from each tiny petal to clouds of blossoms, the beautiful cherry blossoms from Japan connecting the world. The motif of SAKURA from the bid mark was used, making a consistent design between the bid logotype and the application material. In May 2012 Tokyo was chosen by the IOC as one of the official Candidate Cities.

The bathroom is minimally designed, but the reflection of the room on the wall gives a feeling of expanse, ease of use and comfort.
