A scooter in its early stage was produced by utilizing war supplies such as a wheel for an air plane left over right after World War Ⅱ. However, it was seen as an objective of design development in late 50’s when Japan recovered from devastation to the extent of so called “not postwar any longer,” and it was diverted to a charming urban transportation.

GK has been involved in designing motorcycles for the Yamaha Motor Company since it was established. The first of these was the YA-1. In an era of solid black, the high-performance motorcycle came to be popularly known as the “Red Dragonfly” for its brilliant red color. The firm’s fastidious approach to motorcycle design continues to this day.

GK won the appointed design competition of the Yamaha up right piano. The piano was actually marketed and became GK’s monument to set sail into the society.
It became an epoch making design then that the square and black piano was changed to woody and soft finished one.
