GK Dynamics updated the exterior color scheme and graphic design of the URASHIMA 8000, a cruising autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). The new graphics on the hull visually emphasize the vehicle’s enhanced exploration capabilities compared to the previous model. Elements such as the number 8 and an abstracted Mount Fuji juxtaposed with the Japan Trench highlight the vehicle’s 8,000-meter operational depth. The logo depicts an exploration vehicle in action in the ocean and is designed to be approachable for people of all ages.
