Our hearts are filled with sorrow upon hearing about Mr. Issey Miyake’s passing.
He was an exquisite designer who had been close to GK since its founding, and he will stay in our hearts beyond the times. In his late life, in 2005, Kenji Ekuan, the founder of GK Design Group, established the Master Plan for Dougu Temple and Dougu Village and requested Mr. Miyake to design working clothes for the activity in person.
ISSEY MIYAKE responded with the A-POC process to this ultimate request. He placed various Dougu all over the fabric to weave Dougu World into one-of-a-kind working clothes. We would like to hand down the fond memory of the fruit of harmonized collaboration for a long time to come.
