To mark his retirement from the service as a Senior Adviser of GK Design Group, Kozo Yamada gave an online lecture titled “The World is Not One.”
After joining GK Industrial Design Associates, Mr. Yamada has participated in the launch of DSH (currently called GK Design Soken Hiroshima) and served as its third President. In 2012, he also became the President of GK Design.
In the lecture, he told about the world of GK Design from his perspective, starting from Kenji Ekuan’s Dougu Philosophy “The world is not one.” The notion has been strikingly impressive for him during more than forty years of his design activities. Then the former President of GK Design Soken Hiroshima discussed “whether a thing has a heart” and how he looks into the world with his experienced eyes as well as the secret to the art of presentation which he learned infly-fishing, his hobby.
Mr. Yamada will continue his activities such as that at Forum Dougulogy.
