We worked on the spatial design for the new Kyoto Shinkin Bank building. It has many functions in addition to the banking service, such as café & bar, coworking space, seminar rooms, and a community kitchen. The spatial structure allows different groups of people to communicate with each other. The event space called
“COMMUNITY STEPS” will be the best viewing spot for Tsuji-mawa-shi, the most spectacular event during the Gion Festival. GK Kyoto joined the project from the conceptual stage with GK Sekkei and drafted the basic concept of the space, supervised the building interior and exterior design, and planned and designed lighting and signs.
