GK Industrial Design codeveloped a new type of hand strap with Mikamikakouzai Inc., a Japanese manufacturer that has the top share in the vehicle straps market. In order to devise a hand strap that meets the changing needs due to the shifts in the working habits and population distribution, we analyzed the problems with the conventional straps and took on challenges to reduce physical load on passengers while focusing on the aspect as a property which comes into contact with general public. The new strap allows to realize a quality future mode of public transportation and the safer vehicle space.
