We designed two exterior color schemes for the limited express train that connects Osaka and Nara. The train is named the “Mahoroba Annei” and the “Mahoroba Yukyu.” The exterior colors, graphics, seat fabrics, and logo incorporate elements of Nara’s history and local charm. The designs express the city’s core messages of annei (peace) and yukyu (eternity). In addition to designing the car bodies, we created promotional materials, including a website, posters, and pamphlets. The Annei began service in March 2025, and the Yukyu is scheduled to begin service in October of this year.

The seat features an arranged Hōsōge floral pattern. The logo mark incorporates motifs such as deer, goldfish, and Yamato vegetables into a Karakusa vine pattern.
