We designed the vehicle and logo for the newly introduced model of Randen (Keifuku Electric Railroad Arashiyama Line). The exterior design has a rounded shape inherited from the original trams in Kyoto, and the two-tone color scheme uses a combination of Randen’s traditional “Kyo-Murasaki” purple and urban white. The interior color scheme is consistent with the exterior, but more subdued. The improved seats, stanchion poles that curve inward toward the seats for a wider aisle and integrated small dividers, and other features create a comfortable interior.

We designed the new Randen logo to match the concept of KYOTRAM, the new face of Randen, to celebrate its debut.
