Geo-Scope is an interactive information board to search observational databases from Japan and other countries by touching the touch panel. This was developed as a part of the “Tsunagari” project of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation commemorating its 10th anniversary to promote better understanding of the earth.
There are four large and nine small Geo-Scope boards. When a visitor places a block on which a theme is symbolized on a large board, the data on the theme appear on the board. Visitors can deepen their understanding on the phenomena on the earth according to their interest and knowledge. The geometrically shaped cases of Geo-Scope boards and other furniture pieces give a feeling of unity in design to the exhibition hall.
