They have been in the master's course or recently graduated from The University of Art and Design Helsinki (Taik). The exhibition consists of wide spectrum of works such as furniture, fashion, table ware, pottery and graphic design, sharing aesthetic distinction like lightness and delicacy in common, creating a substantial expression. All works are being influenced by Finnish culture, its nature or past designers, and respective works can be asserted as a result of amalgamation of aesthetic atmosphere of Finnish and Japanese cultures. Presently about 15 Japanese students enroll in the master's course of Taik every year. Their ties are strong and influence the creative atmosphere and tendency of the school well. The organizer will appreciate when you can enjoy the 15 set of design works beyond the border as well as both countries' differences and affinity with many things in common like woody surroundings and national traits. 15 Horizons Press release 1 , 2 |
