EXPO’70 Osaka held in Osaka in 1970 lifted the curtain of 70s. In design also, a variety of facilities in the exposition site became objectives of design and they were developed and established as a professional realms.
Street furniture (fixtures laid out and installed outdoors ) and signs (signage for directory alike) had tended to be treated a miscellaneous items. To break the notion, they were officially taken as a design objectives in EXPO’70 Osaka.
