The architectural motif is the traditional dwelling of this area, a structure of earthen exterior walls supporting a roof of Sekisui tiles.
It houses two facilities: the Kirinoyu hot springs bathhouse and the Koyukan, a lodging house for persons who come to Iwami for a hands-on experience in farming, forestry, or fishing.
