President Tanaka’s Comment
I was so amazed by the level of entries to Braun Prize 2009, and I could felt the big “power” of design through the experience of a juror of Braun Prize 2009.
Those awarded works of BraunPrize would awake our emotions in many outcomes such as identifying issues through excellent insight, an objective and scientific research, a form giving development embodying a new technology with a unique view and a finely polished result. This is what I call power of design that provides humans and the earth with happiness. (excerpt from the comment for BraunPrize 2009)
